Bicycling.

Someday soon I am going to purchase a good road bike and I am going to ride it everywhere. Here are a few that look (and ride) pretty sharp.

Just an opinion.

Gov. Sarah Palin is a complete neophyte who burst onto the national scene a mere six weeks ago. Her enthusiastic reception by social conservatives and less educated Republicans is alarming in light of her lack of preparation for national office. Her meteoric rise to fame marks the abandonment of political process for celebrity worship. Here is a woman whose pregnant teenage daughter is about to marry a foul-mouthed (self-proclaimed) drug user, while Palin is held up as an all-American mom; whose secessionist husband (member of Alaska's Indenpendence Party who threatened to secede from the Union a few years back) joined her in abuse of official power, while she is held up as a paragon of patriotism, whose ignorance of history and law is looked upon as irrelevant and refreshing. How can this suspension of disbelief last longer than the length of a bad movie? Whether or not her candidacy is successful we must ask how this pretender has been promoted so effectively by the cynical McCain campaign managers. The future of this nation is at stake and too many of our fellow citizens cannot see the danger in her potential rise to the highest office in the land. It is truly frightening.

Hallows' Eve

When I was younger, Halloween was one of my FAVORITE holidays. I know I enjoyed it so much because it was fun to dress up and eat lots of candy. I have no plans for Halloween this year, but I could not resist the urge to look at new (and non-slutty) costume ideas...just in case I make plans between now and Hallows' Eve.

Cravings.

There used to be a Lollicup Tea Zone in Fayetteville, but I think they were just a little too ahead of their time. They had the BEST Bubble Tea/Smoothies in the entire world, but ended up closing their doors because of slow business. I used to go there every time I was in Fayetteville. I really wish I could find some Bubble Tea, or at least a place to order the tapioca pearls.

I am also craving a really good read. I have had these books on my wishlist for a few months now, and finally purchased them. I am so excited to snuggle under my comforter and read the heck out of them.

I love window shopping online at Anthropolgie and Urban Outfitters because both websites have the most adorable home/apartment furnishings. Here are a few things I want to purchase, but will probably recreate instead...hopefully.
